The gloves are off as six of the world’s greatest and most powerful engines prepare to square off against one another to claim glory at this year’s Top Gear Festival Sydney. The six challengers will be battling to take the title of “King of the Track†in the Ultimate Speed Showdown.
Featuring Team F1, Team Superbike, Team V8, Team GT3, Team World Time Attack Challenge and Team WRC, the Ultimate Speed Showdown will settle the age old argument about which of these racing machines truly is the greatest.
There are no foregone conclusions in this 6 Degrees of Acceleration race – as each team will be given staggered starts to ensure the conclusion is a nail-biter in a 5-lap race around the Sydney Motorsport Park circuit.
The drivers behind these mechanical monsters, which will line up to race on 8-9 March at Sydney Motorsport Park, are just as impressive with Infiniti Red Bull Racing driver Daniel Ricciardo attempting to take the title for Team F1; Ducati rider & ex-world champion Troy Bayliss taking to the track for Team Superbike and Erebus Motorsport’s Will Davison taking the Team V8 hot-seat.
