Repairify Executives To Present At December 2021 CIECAST Webinar

The next Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association (CIECA) CIECAST webinar, ‘ADAS Trends: Implications for the Future of Diagnostics & Calibrations’, is scheduled for 7 December at 11 AM USA PST. The webinar will feature Tony Rimas, President of Repairify, and Nick Dominato, Repairify Senior Vice President of Product.

During the one-hour live session, Rimas and Dominato will discuss trends in the development and adoption of automated driver-assistance systems (ADAS), the effects these systems have on the diagnostic and calibration business model, and the impact of missing ADAS calibration.

“ADAS calibrations are an often-missed risk mitigation opportunity that impacts not only collision repair businesses, but also insurance providers, manufacturers and other suppliers,” Rimas said. “Despite the forward advancement of ADAS capabilities, our research finds that it’s going to become harder, not easier, to perform calibrations unless certain steps and standard processes are adopted.”

Topics will include:

  • ADAS growth trends impacting the collision industry
  • OEM ADAS developments impacting diagnostics and calibrations
  • The role ADAS plays in shaping the diagnostics and calibrations workflow
  • The impact of missed ADAS calibrations on the automotive industry
  • How the industry can adapt to the ADAS future

A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.

Repairify says it is a family of brands that “empowers” the automotive repair industry to master modern, data-intensive vehicles. Rimas has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the automotive industry beginning in San Antonio, Texas with Red McCombs’ McCombs Enterprise, where he ran a top 50 dealer group as the director of operations. During the last two decades, Rimas gained extensive experience with automotive venture capital which led him to asTech, a Repairify company, in 2019.

Nick Dominato grew up in the collision repair industry, with his parents owning a regional paint business. Shortly after finishing school, Dominato was introduced to a new company performing OEM diagnostics, asTech.

In 2020, Dominato founded adasThink, which he said is a first-of-its-kind software company intended to help collision repairers identify onboard ADAS systems and required calibrations, while also providing OEM documentation. The company was acquired by Repairify in 2021.

CIECA is inviting all industry segments to register to attend the webinar. CIECA said webinar attendees can earn Automotive Management Institute (AMi) credit toward an industry-recognised professional designation and specialty degree.
