General Tire has expanded its offering to Australian consumers with the launch of the new Grabber GT range.
Developed specifically for the ‘soft roader’ market, the new Grabber GT tyre is primarily an on-road tyre with light off-road capability, ideal for suburban-based sports utility vehicles (SUV).
“The vast majority of SUVs and four-wheel-drive vehicles in the market today are used as daily transport around cities and large country centres, and make only the occasional foray into off-road territory on weekends,” Mitchell Golledge, Marketing Manager, Continental Tyres of Australia said.
“General has long been under-represented in this market in Australia, and the new Grabber GT range addresses that with a tyre that sets a performance and value benchmark in the segment.”
Developed to fit a diverse range of small, medium and large SUVs, the Grabber GT comes in 35 sizes for fitments from 15 inch to 21 inch rims.
Its ‘sports utility’ appearance features an asymmetric tread design to ensure both high levels of on-road performance and quietness, combined with off-road grip thanks to a generous 8.5 to 8.7mm tread depth.
“Our new Grabber GT range will really cement the General Tire brand as a serious player in the Australian tyre market and underline why we are one of America’s most respected tyre brands,” Mitchell said.
The new General Tire Grabber GT range is available through Continental Tyre retailers and Bob Jane T-Marts nationally.
