Wilcox Bodyworks Achieves I-CAR Gold Class

I-CAR Australia has awarded Gold Class Collision status to Wilcox Bodyworks. Brady Wilcox, owner and manager of the business, said I-CAR’s various delivery options made Gold Class training achievable and cost-effective, something which helps small collision repair businesses remain competitive while keeping costs down.

“I-CAR was flexible and adaptable to the needs of a small business working towards the same goal as larger shops. Being a small business in a rural area, the various training delivery options were perfect for us. We were able to select courses that [were] delivered face-to-face in our area and then complement these with the online platform. It was a game changer and without the flexible delivery options, we would have faced many barriers,” said Wilcox.

“Having access to I-CAR’s Industry Training Alliance partners was an added benefit. We partnered with Valspar, which supported the team to undertake training to gain I-CAR points. This resulted in staff gaining relevant and specific training suited to their needs.”

According to Wilcox, setting time aside from the day-to-day running of the business for training was essential, adding that the team’s commitment to Gold Class “was great and added to the ease of the process”.

“Overall, it was a rewarding experience with our staff enjoying the training; our business has benefited greatly from the process. We would highly recommend the training and are keen to keep up with industry changes and best practices in repair methods,” said Wilcox.

I-CAR said Gold Class status is the highest level of accreditation in the I-CAR Professional Development Program and Wilcox Bodyworks’ achievement highlights its commitment to having the technical skills and knowledge required to safely repair modern vehicles.
