Weststar Prestige Paint & Panel Achieves I-CAR Gold Class

I-CAR Australia has announced that Weststar Prestige Paint & Panel has been awarded Gold Class Collision status.

According to I-CAR, Weststar Prestige has always believed in training and upskilling its technicians to meet technological change. Having used I-CAR’s training platform since November 2018, the business began its Road To Gold journey during the final stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, with access to online and virtual classes allowing it to continue training during the pandemic period.

When the pandemic subsided, I-CAR Australia’s Industry Training Alliance partners provided Weststar Prestige’s lead technicians with additional key training and education, including Tesla welding certifications and accredited PPG training.

Brad Kolich, Director and Dealer Principal of Weststar Prestige Paint & Panel, said the Road To Gold programme had positively impacted the business.

“Our staff are to be commended for embracing the training modules with enthusiasm and vigour, and we look forward to their efforts and commitment reflecting positively in our organisation, which will further cement our approach to the collision repair industry and add another element to potential OEM partnerships moving forward.

“Thank you to the I-CAR staff for their ongoing support and professionalism throughout our journey in achieving I-CAR Gold accreditation. The additional guidance from the Road to Gold review programme was very helpful in assisting us in achieving the accreditation,” said Kolich.

I-CAR said the accreditation places Weststar Prestige in a “very strong position” to overcome the challenges presented by the ever-evolving body repair industry.

“Congratulations to Weststar Prestige Paint & Panel for joining the growing number of businesses that have recognised the benefits of regular training, not only for their staff members but also for their customers and the entire business,” said I-CAR.
