Several body shops and repair technicians will vie for top honours at the MTA WA’s member recognition programme, the MTA WA Automotive Awards, which acknowledges exceptional achievements by individuals and businesses and aims to inspire innovation, professionalism, and growth.
The 2023 award categories include Apprentice of the Year, Automotive Woman of the Year, Small Automotive Business of the Year, Medium Automotive Business of the Year, and Large Automotive Business of the Year.
The judging panel, comprised of industry experts, evaluated entries based on factors such as business management, workplace practices, customer service, and community impact. Twenty-four businesses, professionals, and apprentices were selected as finalists.
“These businesses and individuals have displayed an exceptional level of expertise and dedication that truly sets them apart,” said Stephen Moir, Group CEO of the MTA WA. “Their achievements reflect the spirit of excellence that drives our industry forward and demonstrate the commitment of MTA WA members to making a positive impact within the industry and the broader community. We are proud to recognise the outstanding contributions of our 2023 finalists and congratulate each of them on this fantastic accomplishment.”
The winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner, which will take place on 12 August at the Crown Perth Grand Ballrooms, hosted by 6PR Radio’s Oliver Peterson, with entertainment from Australian actor Shane Jacobson and Perth band Little Belle.
The awards are supported by Platinum Sponsor Capricorn Society, Gold Sponsor Spirit Super, and Silver Sponsors the Small Business Development Corporation, RAC Auto Services, and RAC Insurance.
