SATA has created a new version of its premium SATAjet X 5500 spray gun specifically for clear coat application. Based on SATA’s innovative and popular I-nozzle technology, the SATAjet X 5500 Clearcoat Edition features a new nozzle geometry concept, identified by an additional ‘cc’ designation – SATAjet X 5500 RP 1.3cc.
Using feedback from customers, SATA’s research and development team created a precisely tuned nozzle that delivers a large and even fan, fine atomisation, and optimised distribution for clear coat products. As a result, it minimises product wastage while allowing paint technicians to easily control clear coat application and mimic the factory clear coat finish of the target vehicle.
The gun is identifiable thanks to a red anodised gun body with large ‘C’ symbol, accented with contrasting black control elements. Like all SATA spray guns, the SATAjet X 5500 Clearcoat Edition is manufactured at the company’s facility at Kornwestheim in Germany.
The SATAjet X 5500 Clearcoat Edition comes in ‘digital’ configuration (with a digital inlet air pressure gauge built into the gun handle) and is available to order now from authorised SATA distributors.
