Robert Snook Leaves MG Cannon To Focus On Business Success Global

Well known UK collision repair identity Robert Snook has left body shop MSO MG Cannon, choosing to concentrate on running training organisation Business Success Global (BSG).

In a joint statement, the directors of both businesses said they agreed to a complete separation of the organisations, allowing each to focus on achieving their objectives.

Snook resigned as a director and employee of MG Cannon and Computers Dotcom (MG Cannon’s sister IT company), and sold his shareholding to MG Cannon, while Vince Scudder resigned as a director of BSG and sold his shareholding to Snook, who is now the sole director and shareholder of BSG. The remaining shareholders of both companies retain their shares.

“MG Cannon and Business Success Global have enjoyed significant growth and successes in recent years and this is set to accelerate for both companies in 2023 and beyond,” the businesses said. “For the past few months, the directors have been discussing options on how best to provide the required strategy and capacity for growth in both businesses, so that they can continue to maintain their records of success and fulfil their potentials.”

Scudder said: “I enjoyed my time seeing BSG be born and develop, but we had to face the fact that MG Cannon and BSG are demanding more and more director time as they continue to grow. This change was agreed between us all as the best way forward and I wish Robert all the success in continuing to grow BSG into the exciting vision he has for it.”

Dan Wareham, Managing Director and Finance Director of MG Cannon, said both businesses had achieved a lot in recent years and the directors wanted to ensure they continued to succeed in future. “Following analysis of various options, we all strongly believed this was the best solution to enable that to happen, so it has been an amicable and smooth separation,” he said.

Snook thanked the MG Cannon team, partners, customers, and suppliers for their “tremendous support” over the past 10 years. “I will enjoy watching its continued growth. Looking ahead with BSG, I am incredibly excited by the future as an independent company that will continue to develop the exciting and unique position it has attained in our industry,” he added.

MG Cannon operates from eight sites – six main manufacturer-approved body shops and two Magic cosmetic repair centres.
