Roberlo Advances Commitment To Environmental Protection

Roberlo has detailed a series of key initiatives implemented in 2023 that demonstrate its dedication to caring for the environment, people’s health, and corporate social responsibility.

The company said one of the cornerstones of its approach to sustainability is its ISO 14001 environmental management certification, an international standard that sets the requirements for an effective environmental management system. Roberlo said this ensures that the company operates responsibly, minimises its environmental impact, and complies with applicable environmental regulations.

The company has also significantly reduced carbon dioxide emissions compared to 2022, as 100 per cent of the energy it uses now comes from renewable sources.

With the circular economy holding significant importance to Roberlo, in 2023 the company managed to recover 92 per cent of the waste it generated by reintroducing it to the production process or recovering it externally for use as new raw material in other external production processes.

Roberlo also aims to obtain certification from Ecovadis, a globally recognised sustainability rating platform that evaluates companies’ environmental, social, and ethical performance.

Additionally, in 2023, the garden surrounding Roberlo’s headquarters was remodelled, replacing grass with Mediterranean trees and plants adapted to the climate. This action, along with the implementation of a rainwater recovery system, allowed a substantial reduction in water consumption.
