Plastfix Names Greg Preston As Group Manager ANZ

Plastfix has announced that Greg Preston was appointed to its senior executive team as Group Manager Australia New Zealand on 1 November.

Preston is well known in the Australian collision repair industry having worked his way through many layers of the sector. Starting as an apprentice panel technician, Preston learned the challenges faced by small business when he became a collision shop manager. He expanded his business acumen with one of Australia’s leading insurers before joining some of the industry’s leading associations.

Plastfix said the combination of hands-on experience and business knowledge made Preston the ideal candidate to lead the group.

“I am honoured to be appointed to this position and working with our new executive team, [many of whom] have been with Plastfix from inception,” said Preston. “Since starting, we have put together a strong team to guide Plastfix into the future with a dual focus on maintaining our commitment to our core stakeholders whilst exploring growth and innovation opportunities that will benefit our stakeholders.

“Plastfix has always driven sustainability as our business model. This is for our people – without [whom] no business can prosper – [and] for our industry, which needs to do its part to reduce plastic waste and cut emissions, all for the net benefit to our community,” Preston added.

The announcement follows the appointment of Gordon McRonald who was recently named Plastfix Australia New Zealand Business Advisor.
