PaintExpo 2020 Cancelled By Organisers

PaintExpo 2020 has been cancelled by its organisers, who made the decision due to the still uncertain COVID-19 situation, stricter hygiene and distancing regulations for trade shows, and sustained restrictions on international travel. The next trade show will take place as scheduled in 2022.

“Together with our exhibitors and partners, we had hoped to hold PaintExpo 2020 in October with corresponding health and safety measures for all participants,” said Juergen Haussmann, Managing Director of FairFair GmbH, the organiser of the show. “However, the circumstances have changed in the meantime, amongst other things due to new regulations for holding trade fairs in Baden-Wuerttemberg, so that we now have to cancel the event after all.”

The decision was made based on a survey of all PaintExpo 2020 exhibitors, many of whom were also against postponing the trade show once again. According to the survey, many companies are currently struggling with the economic impact of the pandemic and trade show participation is not at the top of their priority list.

Organisers say that health protection and preventing the spread of infection continues to play a central role as face-to-face contact and travel are being restricted to absolutely necessary interaction. They add that the requirements stipulated in the planned “Corona Regulation for Trade Fairs” issued by Baden-Wuerttemberg’s state government were another significant reason for deciding to cancel the event.

“We now intend to devote all of our energy to preparing the next regularly scheduled PaintExpo in order to provide the industry sector with the best possible conditions for successful trade fair participation,” said Haussmann.

With PaintExpo 2020 cancelled, PaintExpo 2022 will take place from 26 to 29 April 2022 at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Centre in Germany.
