New ACM Parts QLD Distribution Centre Officially Opens For Business

A new ACM Parts flagship distribution centre, located in Hemmant, Queensland, was officially opened at an event attended by various sections of the automotive industry. Guests toured the facility and learned more about the company’s range of products.

“The opening night was an opportunity for our valued customer, supplier, and key industry partners to get to know ACM Parts a little better and see how far ACM has come in its journey to be Australia’s leading supplier of genuine, aftermarket, and reclaimed automotive parts and workshop consumables at our new Hemmant site,” said Adam O’Sullivan, Executive General Manager of ACM Parts.

The centre will allow ACM Parts to expand its inventory holdings and build a stronger position in the mechanical and collision supply market across Queensland and northern New South Wales. It has more than 19,000 square metres of warehouse capacity, an increase of 13,400 square metres over the previous facility in Arundel on the Gold Coast. It also has more than 15 direct-access covered loading bays and a significant hardstand area.

Positioned close to the Port of Brisbane and the Gateway Motorway, the facility also allows ACM Parts to deliver to more customers more frequently. “The new location has allowed us to increase our service offer to customers for up to three runs daily in the Brisbane metro area and we have also added a daily Sunshine Coast run. Both improvements were not feasible out of the old Arundel warehouse,” said O’Sullivan.

“The new facility is more modern than our pre-existing facility in Queensland, and I am excited about the opportunity for our team members to build their experience in the new location. It also provides an opportunity for advancement for our current team members as we grow our staffing levels,” said O’Sullivan.

Full coverage of the opening celebration will appear in the December 2023 – January 2024 issue of BodyShop News Australia.
