MoonVan To Make First Appearance At PPG Show & Shine In Adelaide

PPG’s MoonVan, which is fitted with a fully functioning MoonWalk automated dispensing machine, next generation DigiMatch spectrophotometer, and VisualizID 3D colour visualisation software, will debut at the PPG Show & Shine event in Adelaide on 15 October from 9 am to 3 pm.

Joe Esposito, PPG Business Manager Refinish SA, said the event offers the perfect opportunity to show the MoonVan and demonstrate PPG’s LINQ technologies.

“Visitors can follow the step-by-step process from taking and downloading a DigiMatch spectro reading, through to generating a 3D virtual colour spray out within the VisualizID 3D colour visualisation software. People can actually have a go at electronically comparing the virtual spray-out against the colour variants using different angles and light sources in order to see just how simple and accurate it is. After choosing the closest match without using a drop of tinter, it’s a simple matter to click the button to get MoonWalk to dispense the required volume with absolute precision every single time,” said Esposito.

“South Australian repairers have already responded extremely positively to these new PPG technologies, and we are expecting MoonVan to reinforce the fact that the paint shop of the future is here now.”

The PPG Show & Shine will run in conjunction with the Street Outlaws Car Club – Adelaide at PPG’s South Australia offices (97-105 Bedford Street, Gilman) where around 350 cars are expected to be displayed.

“Along with the incredible vehicle displays, there will be a band, a DJ, and prizes. It’s only a gold coin donation to enter and we are expecting thousands of people on the day, including many members of the local collision repair industry who are into custom cars, street machines, and restored classics,” said Esposito.
