Mirka Video Highlights LEROS Sanding Speed

Mirka has released a new video highlighting the speed of its LEROS sander. According to Mirka, the short production shows how the LEROS’ 225-millimetre head sands more than double the surface area compared to a conventional Mirka DEROS 150-millimetre random orbital sander.

The LEROS, which is short for Long Electric Random Orbital Sander, is driven by a 350W brushless electric motor and features 180-degree flexibility and 5-millimetre random orbital movement. Originally introduced in November, the company says the sander’s 3.5-kilogram weight makes it easy to operate and manoeuvre, and thanks to the dual suction points and balanced ergonomic design, forces are transferred to the sanding head where vacuum helps keep it firmly against the surface.

Mirka says that in addition to quickly tackling larger surface areas, LEROS is suitable for working on high or low surfaces. The sanding head of the LEROS is mounted on a long, ergonomically designed shaft and has an optional extension shaft if more length is required.
