Available now from authorised Mirka distributors across Australia, Mirka says its new Systainer kit packs all the tools needed for de-nibbing and targeted polishing into one handy carrying case.
The centrepiece of the kit is Mirka’s latest battery powered tools, created by the company’s in-house development team. Utilising advanced Li-ion battery technology, the tools are described as powerful, high torque and long lasting. As the tools are not tied to a power point, the Systainer case can be carried anywhere it’s needed, making it simple to keep everything in one place.
Three tools come with Systainer – the AOS-B 33 mm de-nibbing tool, ARP-B 77 mm polisher and AROP-B 77 mm random orbital polisher. In addition, the kit contains two batteries – one for active use while a spare is on charge – as well as de-nibbing roses, a selection of polishing pads, polishing compounds, and other accessories.
Mirka says these compact battery powered tools and specialised accessories save valuable time on a wide range of everyday jobs such as prepping for a blend or polishing prior to a ‘spectro’ reading, through to de-nibbing and polishing out de-nib scratches or polishing small items, such as mirror casings.
For example, the Mirka AOS-B 33 mm de-nibbing tool precisely targets and removes dust nibs using a circular random orbital motion. In contrast to typical manual de-nibbing scratches, these fine de-nibbing scratches can be quickly and effectively polished out with the ARP-B 77 mm polisher or AROP-B 77 mm random orbital polisher.
