March 2021 CIECAST Webinar Is On Claims Automation

The Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association’s (CIECA) March 2021 CIECAST webinar, titled ‘How Claims Automation is Transforming the Appraisal Experience’, is scheduled for Thursday 25 March at 1pm USA CST.

The one-hour live broadcast will feature three presenters from CIECA member companies: Olivier Baudoux of Mitchell International; Jimmy Spears of Tractable, and Raj Pofale of Claim Genius.

“COVID-19 and changing consumer preferences have accelerated the auto insurance industry’s shift toward claims automation,” said Baudoux. “To support new virtual workflows, images and artificial intelligence (AI) have become essential to the vehicle appraisal process. When combined with the latest technology and data, this gives insurance carriers and collision repairers the ability to accelerate the creation of an estimate and optimise the cycle time and consumer experience.”

The CIECA says the presenters will describe how rapid technology adoption during the pandemic has set the stage for breakthrough advancements in the way claims are handled, and highlighted the importance of an open, flexible, and scalable technology platform.

Topics include:

  • Benefits of AI-enabled claims processing
  • Opportunities to apply automation at key decision points in the claims journey
  • Accuracy of AI predictions and recommendations
  • Role of the appraiser and AI in virtual, guided and touchless estimating
  • How CIECA Standards may play a role in the future

A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.

All industry segments, including CIECA members and non-members, are invited to join the March 2021 CIECAST webinar (registration required), and participants can earn Automotive Management Institute (AMi) credit toward an industry-recognised, professional designation and specialty degree by attending.
