International Exhibitors And Visitors Drawn To Equip Auto Paris 2022

The organiser of Equip Auto Paris 2022 has declared the event a success after 78,280 trade visitors and nearly 1000 companies, 45 per cent of which were new exhibitors, attended the event.

“Feedback from exhibitors is enthusiastic,” said Aurelie Jouve, Equip Auto Director. “They confirm [that] they experienced an unprecedented Equip Auto Paris, marked by its friendly atmosphere, high [foot traffic], and the scale of business. The smiling faces we witnessed, both in the aisles and on the stands, brought further confirmation that the format and programme were highly relevant and aligned with industry needs.”

Equip Auto Paris also welcomed many politicians and international representatives, including the French Secretary of State to the Ministry of the Economy, Finances and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty tasked with Industry, Roland Lescure, who officially opened the exhibition.

“The automotive industry is faced with major but necessary changes to decarbonise our economy,” said Lescure. “The state must support these industrial transformations and we are heeding that call by providing broad support for innovation and industrialisation across the automotive industry’s value chain.”

French Minister of Labour, Full Employment and Insertion, Olivier Dussopt, and Secretary of State to the Ministry of Environmental Transition and Regional Cohesion in charge of Transport, Clement Beaune, also visited the exhibition and themed areas. Organisers say their conversations with exhibitors enabled members of government to appreciate the trade show’s contribution and gauge the commitment of stakeholders towards new mobility solutions and automotive innovation fostering environmental transition.

Organisers added that the chairman of France’s Federation Of Businesses, Geoffroy Roux de Bezieux, along with the Chairman of the Hauts-de-France Regional Council, Xavier Bertrand, regional elected representatives, MPs, and foreign ambassadors in France, also gained a greater understanding of the challenges and needs of the industry and their impact at regional level.

The next event, Equip Auto Lyon 2023, is scheduled for 28 to 30 September and will be held jointly with the Lyon Motor Show at Eurexpo.

“Many have already confirmed pre-registrations for Equip Auto Lyon in 2023,” said Philippe Baudin, Chairman of Equip Auto. “The gamble paid off. We will now all get together to review the exhibition, continue to make improvements, and focus on the next step. We are looking forward to meeting up at Eurexpo with the Lyon Motor Show.”
