I-CAR Announces Gold Class For Northern General Bodyworks

I-CAR Australia has awarded Gold Class Collision status to Northern General Bodyworks in Bundoora, Victoria, which is part of the Western General Bodyworks Group.

Danny Buzadzic, Director of Northern General Bodyworks (WGBW Group), said the business experienced significant improvement since participating in the Road to Gold training.

“Far from just scratching the surface of technical information, it provides detailed in-depth content of a constantly evolving industry. The practical content can be applied immediately, whether it’s understanding advanced repair technologies or why modern materials are being used, the training is there for you. It boosted the team morale and our skills improved significantly, ensuring our repairs met OEM standards at the highest level,” said Buzadzic.

“The team’s feedback on training has been awesome. The self-paced online courses offered flexible learning for the team to complete at their convenience. In addition, the after-hour afternoon virtual classroom sessions allowed our team members to tackle learning while still ensuring their day-to-day work was completed. The hands-on certification was a real bonus in revealing the team’s dedication and skills.

“They’re loving the continuous learning and personal development, and it’s showing in their work. Job satisfaction is through the roof. So, in a nutshell, the Gold Class is a win-win. Happy team, happy shop.

Buzadzic said organising the training was “a bit like a puzzle – fun but tricky”.

“The online courses were a smooth ride, but virtual classrooms and hands-on certification require some dedicated scheduling,” he added.

I-CAR congratulated Northern General Bodyworks on achieving Gold Class accreditation. “It is wonderful to see the team use a combination of training delivery methods to train,” said I-CAR. “The Gold Class accreditation and their positivity towards training places them in a very strong position to overcome the challenges presented by the rapidly evolving body repair industry.”
