I-CAR Australia has awarded Gold Class Collision status to Barry James Auto Body Repair Centre, located in Ballarat, Victoria.
“We have always been industry leaders as Ballarat’s first ‘Quality Endorsed Smash Repairer’ and now Ballarat’s first I-CAR Gold Class repairer,” said Glen James, owner of Barry James Auto Body Repair Centre. “We believe I-CAR training empowers and develops the knowledge and skill of every person working on a vehicle. It is a critical tool to being the market leader and for the future with motor vehicles constantly changing and the increased complexity of the technology involved.
“We have invested heavily in time and money with I-CAR, and believe this investment is crucial to the strong commitment we have at Barry James Auto Body Repair Centre to our existing customers, staff and also to the Ballarat community.”
James said I-CAR’s online virtual classroom sessions allowed the team to participate in regular training, resulting in the company achieving Gold Class status in a short period of time. The training was flexible and self-paced, allowing participants to take advantage of COVID-19 lockdown periods.
“We are proud to have facilitated a learning culture where all our staff have embraced training and understand that to be a professional body repair / paint technician, they need to be I-CAR trained to keep up with the latest processes and procedures,” James said. “Our staff are proud to say that they are I-CAR Platinum Individual accredited technicians. The ongoing renewal training required by Gold Class will keep us up-to-date with all aspects of the collision industry and will continue boosting our longstanding strong reputation within the industry.”
I-CAR congratulated the business for quickly achieving Gold Class status.
“Great work on their commitment to learning and congratulations to Barry James Auto Body Repair Centre for expediting the bulk of their trainings within a year to achieve Gold Class,” I-CAR said.
