Global Automotive Industry Gears Up For Automechanika Shanghai 2023

The global automotive industry is preparing to head to China in November, with Automechanika Shanghai 2023 expecting to host 4,800 exhibitors over 280,000 square metres of display space at Shanghai’s National Exhibition and Convention Center.

Companies from 32 countries and regions have reserved space on the show floor, including Australia, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkiye, the UK, and the USA.

According to Automechanika Shanghai organisers, the 18th edition of the event will serve as a meeting point for the global industry as it looks to China for new-energy vehicle solutions and next-generation technologies.

Following a positive introduction to the Chinese market, Innovation4Mobility returns to the event, providing perspective on key trends dominating automotive reformation. The showcase will present the latest innovations and research, as well as breakthroughs and upgrades relating to traditional technologies.

The Innovation4Mobility Mainstage and Green Repair Area will also return, with facilities for product displays, start-ups, and networking across the spaces designed to help foster exchanges between exhibitors and prospective buyers, while lectures will touch on the hottest topics of car technology and mobility solutions.

Scenario-based displays at the newly formed Future Mobility Area will highlight business opportunities arising from new-energy vehicles and connectivity, while the Customising x Tech Area will draw attention to the latest trends and advancements in the customising market.

There will also be collaboration between industry, academia, and researchers during live demonstrations, buying missions, training workshops, open forums, and other fringe events.

As part of this programme, Automechanika Shanghai is arranging visits to car manufacturers in the lead up to the show. Local and overseas participants can gain an understanding of the unique advantages that each manufacturing hub brings to the supply chain and generate a better picture of where the industry is heading.

During these activities, manufacturers will share insights on new energy vehicle development and solutions for autonomous driving, creating more opportunities to share knowledge of trends that are heavily influencing automotive transformation.

Attendees can also join Match Up, Buyers Group Programme, Premium Buyers Club, and Auto Tech Club for highly personalised and targeted approaches to networking and business expansion.

Additionally, the show will host a line-up of conferences, seminars, and workshops, including the International Automotive Industry Conference 2023 Powered by Automechanika Shanghai, Tomorrow’s Service & Mobility Summit, and Automotive Aftermarket Summit.

While many topics will focus on digitalisation, future technologies and services, speakers will also address wider global challenges relating to energy, sustainability, the supply chain, infrastructure, and skilled labour.

Automechanika Shanghai will take place from 29 November to 2 December 2023.
