Glasurit Refinish Competence Centre Resumes Training

Glasurit has reopened its Refinish Competence Centre for training after the 2020 course programme was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Located at Glasurit’s head office in Wetherill Park, NSW, the state-of-the-art training centre will recommence training from 23 February, with further courses listed for March and April.

The courses scheduled so far are:

  • Multi-Layer Application – Tuesday 23 February 2021
  • Paint Application – Tuesday 9 March 2021
  • Multi-Layer Application – Tuesday 23 March 2021
  • Paint Application – Tuesday 12 April 2021
  • Multi-Layer Application – Tuesday 27 April 2021

The current training schedule is available at Glasurit’s website.

Glasurit says the Refinish Competence Centre delivers commercially oriented training that drives process optimisation, allowing body shops to maintain the highest repair quality and maximise business performance. The training programmes are conducted by nationally accredited trainers who educate body shop paint staff on all competencies relating to vehicle refinishing.

According to Glasurit, body shop employees undertaking training at the Refinish Competence Centre can earn I-CAR Platinum Individual points towards their ratings, enabling them to reach the required I-CAR status for insurance companies.

While activities were suspended at the Refinish Competence Centre, Glasurit users made use of the company’s online training platform, Glasurit Know-How. Launched in February 2020, the platform provides body shops with a number of helpful resources, including product information, technical data sheets, e-books, and training videos.
