Geoff Trumbull To Join AMA As Chief Financial Officer

AMA Group has appointed Geoff Trumbull as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective February 2022. Darren Basford, Interim Group CFO, will remain with AMA throughout the half year 2022 results period to ensure an orderly transition.  

Trumbull is a senior business leader with more than 15 years’ experience in corporate advisory and finance leadership roles across the infrastructure, industrial and consumer businesses, including Melbourne Airport and BlueScope Steel. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours, is a member of CPA Australia, is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Trumbull joins AMA Group from Transurban Group, where he was General Manager Finance / Regional CFO for its New South Wales operations. The position also encompassed the CFO role for WestConnex, a joint venture operated by Transurban with an enterprise value of approximately $30 billion.

Trumbull’s wide-ranging responsibilities spanned board and investor interface, participation and leadership in debt restructuring and fundraising activities, business planning, and financial reporting. During his time at Transurban, Trumbull also led the WestConnex corporate integration and managed Transurban’s corporate finance and Victorian regional finance functions.
