DeBeer Refinish Introduces New E-Learning Platform

DeBeer Refinish will launch an online e-learning platform later this year with a suite of training courses developed to enhance knowledge and understanding of refinishing techniques using the DeBeer Refinish coating system.

Developed by the Australian DeBeer Refinish Technical Department specifically to meet the needs of the Australian market, the courses cover a range of topics from refinish fundamentals to advanced application techniques and new refinish technologies. The programme provides up-to-date training content that is accessible at any time, on any device, in a format that allows technicians to work through the course content at their own pace.

The courses use a combination of text, graphics, and video to engage technicians of all experience levels.

DeBeer said the training offers many benefits, including increased productivity and efficiency, as well as reducing errors. It also allows technicians to receive industry accreditation with providers such as I-CAR – all DeBeer Refinish training courses are I-CAR accredited and provide points towards Platinum Individual status.

“Utilising training also allows you to stay up-to-date with new and emerging technologies, such as the growth of UV technologies now being used throughout the smash repair industry in the form of primers,” DeBeer said. “In addition to this, the smash repair industry has seen the evolution of advanced driver-assistance systems which require more specialised training to repair with special requirements for refinishing systems.”

The DeBeer e-learning programme will be complemented by face-to-face training sessions including hands-on application. Face-to-face training is conducted at DeBeer’s state-of-the-art training centres on the Central Coast, New South Wales and the Gold Coast, Queensland.
