Darwin Acquisition Marks National Windscreens’ First Step In Growth Phase

National Windscreens has acquired Darwin’s Top End Windscreens & Tinting, in a move it says underpins its commitment to establishing corporate-owned branches nationally.

“We made a very clear statement when we announced our plans for the future in March that growth, through increasing our company-owned branch network, was our number one priority,” said Campbell Jones, Group CEO. “The acquisition of Top End Windscreens & Tinting represents the first step in this process and there will be other announcements shortly.

“We are moving fast at National Windscreens. There’s a lot of immediate opportunity for us to build an even stronger national network and sitting on our hands is simply not an option.”

Top End Windscreens & Tinting was established in 2008 by previous owners Craig and Hiliary Bradbury, the latter holding key roles with the Australian Collision Industry Alliance and Auto Glass Association.

“Craig and Hiliary have built a really good business and have much to be proud of. They have a fabulous team and a loyal customer base. We want to congratulate them for not only what they have done in Darwin but for their tireless work in the auto glass industry. We will be working with them over the coming weeks to ensure there is a seamless transition,” said Jones.

“We’re delighted that Glenn Shaw [Branch Manager] and Katie Kalsbeek [Office Manager] will remain in the business and lead us into the future. As we expand our network, we strongly believe that locals should deal with locals and with Glenn and Katie steering the ship, this signifies our philosophy.”

Top End Windscreens & Tinting’s branding will remain, but Jones said some significant developments are in place for the branch. “We want to make a significant investment into the Darwin region by employing more people, increasing the capacity of the site and bringing state-of-the-art capabilities for our full service ADAS diagnostics and calibration systems to the branch,” he said.

“We want Top End Windscreens & Tinting to be able to provide leading auto glass repair and ADAS services for every vehicle in the region, from the smallest passenger car to the heaviest truck,” he said.
