Cromax Launches AZ9700 Ultra Performance Plastic Additive

Cromax has introduced Ultra Performance Plastic Additive AZ9700, which is designed to improve the effectiveness of wet-on-wet Ultra Performance Energy Surfacers PS1081, PS1084, and PS1087, and Ultra Performance Non-Sanding Surfacers NS2081, NS2084, and NS2087.

According to Cromax, AZ9700 Ultra Performance Plastic Additive offers the flexibility and adhesion properties required when painting the most common exterior plastic vehicle parts. Thanks to this innovative direct-to-plastic additive, Ultra Performance Energy Surfacers PS1081, PS1084, and PS1087 and Ultra Performance Non-Sanding Surfacers NS2081, NS2084, and NS2087 now require fewer process steps and products for the repair of plastic parts.

“This addition to the Ultra Performance Energy System from Cromax now allows body shops to boost productivity even further, by optimising the workflow of plastic repairs and increasing throughput,” said Jim Iliopoulos, Product and Technical Manager, Axalta Australia and New Zealand.

AZ9700 Ultra Performance Plastic Additive is part of the ValueShade concept, which Axalta said delivers the optimal undercoat for every topcoat colour for faster coverage and reduced basecoat, enabling body shops to accelerate processes and increase profitability.
