CCC Introduces Redesigned Repair Methods With Enhanced OEM Data

CCC Information Services has redesigned its Repair Methods solution to include OEM repair procedures displayed the way OEMs present information in their own repair procedure guides. General Motors (GM) is the first OEM to be featured in the new Repair Methods.

“We’re excited to launch our redesigned CCC Repair Methods solution,” said Mark Fincher, Vice President Market Solutions at CCC. “With increasing vehicle complexity, having procedure data available as developed by the OEM can help repairers be confident that they are accessing complete, timely information. We are excited to bring this new capability to market with GM and are committed to growing the list of OEMs we support with this new functionality.”

CCC said Repair Methods has always connected repairers to OEM procedures as quotes are written, making it easy to identify the necessary operations required to repair the vehicle properly. However, with the new user interface and search capabilities, estimators and technicians can now quickly navigate to the most relevant procedures for the specific vehicle. According to CCC, the enhancements break down complex vehicle information in a more consumable way, making it easy to search for information and research procedures.

The company said the redesigned CCC Repair Methods also includes a new user interface, allowing estimators and technicians to perform dynamic searches across all repair procedure information with the most relevant results prioritised for easy access.

“I love the updated Repair Methods in CCC ONE,” said Andrew Hill, Shop Manager at Sherrill’s Paint & Body in Birmingham, Alabama. “I can get to the information I need quickly and navigating between sections is so simple. If I am looking at procedures for a quarter panel and need to swap over to a door, it’s just point and click. [It’s a] great tool for us.”

Fincher said CCC’s customers continue to tell the company that they are spending more time than ever researching repair procedures.

“It’s not uncommon for shops to spend two hours or more researching the necessary procedures for a single job. Our next-generation Repair Methods solution is designed to make sure repairers can access information as quickly and easily as possible, helping them to provide complete, safe and timely repairs, every time,” he added.

CCC said GM data and solution enhancements are included upgrades to existing users of Repair Methods and are available in the latest release.
