Cathcart Smash Repairs Gains I-CAR Gold Class

I-CAR Australia has awarded Gold Class Collision status to Cathcart Smash Repairs in Bendigo, Victoria.

“We entered the Road to Gold programme wishing to be aligned and educated with industry standards and procedures across our whole repair process, from estimating to repairing,” said Daniel Frankling, Manager at Cathcart Smash Repairs. “The training delivery options offered by I-CAR were well suited to our staff, with during-business-hour as well as outside-of-business-hour courses. This works well with harmonising the work and home balances for most people.”

Frankling said staff feedback on training is positive as they feel more confident in repairing cars, resulting in a more efficient outcome for the business.

“During our training journey, we had the advantage of utilising a number of industry training alliance (ITA) partners for I-CAR points with Axalta’s Spies Hecker in our paint shop, along with Glasurit and their 100 Line training,” he said. “Our OEM training with BMW Australia and Tesla has certainly helped in setting the standards high for our repairs and skills.”

Gary Wood, Senior Technical Advisor at I-CAR Australia, said: “It is wonderful to see the Cathcart Smash Repairs team using a variety of delivery methods and ITA partners to help them through. They have proven that Bendigo as a regional centre of Victoria isn’t a barrier when it comes to professional development for their team. Cathcart Smash Repairs’ persistence and dedication to training will ensure safety and quality for all their customers.”
