Body Shops Report Significant Time And Material Savings With BASF’s Glasurit 100 Line

BASF says “real world” data from more than 1,000 body shops across 20 countries support the company’s claims that Glasurit 100 Line provides significant time and material savings.

Feedback from body shops using 100 Line every day reported 40 per cent less process time and 30 per cent less material usage with every application. Another innovation allows body shops to use paint left over from previous projects, enabling 20 per cent less consumption and 50 per cent faster process times.

“When we introduced 100 Line, we knew it was groundbreaking. Now we have the hard data to prove it,” said Chris Titmarsh, Senior Vice President, Global Automotive Refinish Coatings Solutions at BASF. “Real painters in real body shops around the world are getting the results we promised and more. We have taken market feedback, worked with our customers and partners, and continuously improved our formulations and processes. Every data point tells us that 100 Line gives our customers a serious business advantage.”

BASF will release a new information campaign based on the data, saying that body shops can become the “fastest, greenest, most colourful you”. BASF said the campaign outlines the gains in productivity and potential profitability from lower process times and supports 100 Line’s “leading position on sustainability”.

“We have a great story to tell with 100 Line. Now we want to share our new data-driven results with the market to show how profitable a partnership with BASF and Glasurit can be,” said Titmarsh.
