Axalta Launches ‘Tech Tips’ Paint Defects Video Series - Paul Polverino

Axalta has launched an ongoing series of refinishing training videos designed to help body shops deal with common paint defects.

The videos cover a range of refinishing issues, including poor paint adhesion on plastic parts, solvent popping, peroxide bleeding, water spotting, poor opacity, and correct sanding. They also showcase the global nature of Axalta’s refinish business, with presenters representing Axalta Refinish training leaders from Australia, Europe, the USA and Asia.

Each tutorial runs for a maximum of four minutes and explains the nature of each defect and how they are caused, along with solutions and advice on how to prevent sub-optimal results occurring.

“We know our body shops strive for 100 per cent customer satisfaction, so it is always disappointing when preventable issues affect the quality of paint finishes,” said Paul Polverino, National Training Manager, Axalta Coating Systems Australia. “This series of videos supports refinishers not only to excel at the paint repair process, but also to add value for their customers around the world every single time. What’s more, the videos are accessible to everyone, so we are pleased to offer our wealth of coatings experience to everyone, Axalta customer or not.”

The first six videos are available to view now, free of charge, on the Axalta ANZ YouTube channel.
