Autopromotec Postponed To 2022

Autopromotec has postponed the 29th edition of the show to 25-28 May 2022 due to the health and economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was originally scheduled to run on 26-29 May 2021.

According to Autopromotec, the decision came after a careful analysis of the present framework on a global scale, both from a hygienic and economic perspective.

“The COVID-19 pandemic continues to register high rates of contagion, and severe limitations to international travels persist,” said Renzo Servadei, CEO of Autopromotec. “A proper planning on the part of all the players of the sector is crucial to create a high-level event, but the uncertainty related to the measures to deal with the sanitary crisis makes it difficult [for] national and international exhibitors and visitors to plan their business travels well in advance.”

Having postponed the show, Autopromotec said the delay will coincide with the automotive sector’s expected economic recovery, which analysts predict will occur in 2022. Following the postponement, the show will now take place in even-numbered years.

The company said it is also working on a digital project to enable exhibiting companies to stay in contact with the global market during 2021. More details are expected to be announced at a later date.
