Autopromotec 2022 Seminars To Provide Vital Body Repair Information

Autopromotec has released a video highlighting the two body shop seminars it will hold at the 2022 event. Hosted by Emanuele Vicentini, Brand Manager at Autopromotec, the video features BodyShop News Publisher Michel Malik and Robert Snook, CEO of UK MSO MG Cannon and IBIS Conference Moderator.

Malik said the seminars, which are part of IAM (International Aftermarket Meetings), offer an important opportunity to reconnect with the industry in person following the cancellation of trade fairs due to COVID-19 lockdowns.

“It is time for us to meet our clients, our friends, our business stakeholders, and we should get together and explain what’s happened in the last three years in the industry,” Malik said.

Snook said the seminar programme will help repairers understand the changing fields of automotive and coatings technologies.

“We have two very different and very interesting seminars,” Snook said. “The first one is adapting to change. Technology is changing body repairs forever – we’re going to be talking about ADAS and how it’s growing in importance for body shops, how it is affecting body shop processes and what [repairers] need to do to repair these vehicles correctly and safely. We’re also going to be talking about electric vehicles (EV). We’ll finish that seminar talking about how we can manage the change and what we need to do to prepare ourselves to adapt successfully to these new technologies.

“Our second seminar is on paint and coatings and how these are changing and evolving and again, how we should be preparing for the new technologies around paint and coatings. We are going to look from the OEM’s perspective, how important paint and coatings are, and how things like ADAS and EV affect the coatings that go on the cars. We’re going to look from the paint supplier’s perspective and we’re going to talk about how they can offer new things to their customers in terms of products and services to add more value to their relationships.

Malik said everyone involved in body repair will benefit from attending the Autopromotec seminars.

“Anybody who is involved in the collision repair industry, anybody who cares about what is happening in this industry, whether they are body shop owners, body shop operators, technicians, apprentices, anybody in a body shop who would be interested in learning should attend,” Malik said.

Snook said the seminars will provide attendees with practical information that can be immediately implemented into their business. “It will also help them benchmark their position against what they used to do, what their competitors are doing, and find new edges and innovations that will give them a lead on the market. There really are multiple benefits that can start the day after they get back to their business,” Snook added.

Autopromotec will take place in Bologna, Italy on 25 to 28 May 2022.
