Automechanika Istanbul Postponed To June

Turkey’s International Automotive Industry Fair is being postponed to 25-28 June 2020 in light of the coronavirus being classified a pandemic and spreading so rapidly. The event will be held at the TUYAP Fair and Exhibition Center.

Organisers say they expected the 2020 edition to break a new record in exhibitors and visitors from many countries as it had in 2019. Despite the lack of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Turkey, organisers said they had taken into consideration international and Turkish domestic travel restrictions, along with responsibilities towards the elimination of public health risks, in joining many similar international fairs to postpone the event.

The fair is the world’s third largest and Turkey’s leading international automotive industry fair. The 2019 event set a record in Istanbul with 1397 attendees hosting a total of 48,737 visitors from all over the world. The fair gathers the Turkish, North African, European, and Middle Eastern automotive industries and acts as a meeting hub for Turkey and the surrounding region.
