AMA Group’s Shipstone Accident Repair Specialists Gains I-CAR Gold Class

Shipstone Accident Repair Specialists in Windsor, Queensland, has been awarded I-CAR Gold Class Collision status.

I-CAR said joining the Gold Class programme was a company decision that has enabled AMA Group, which owns Shipstone, to invest in the continuous upskilling of its people.

Scott Donnelly, National Manager Prestige, OEM & Technical at AMA Group, said it was gratifying to see the staff successfully complete the programme.

“Our people are at the centre of everything we do. It’s great to be able to invest in their ongoing training and development. It has been very rewarding to see them enjoy this process and the sense of achievement at the end,” Donnelly said.

Shipstone Manager Dan Gosling acknowledged his staff’s commitment of achieving Gold Class accreditation.

“They have put in an amazing effort this year and the I-CAR Gold status recognises their commitment to the company and the training required to work on the modern vehicle safely and correctly,” Gosling said. “Maintaining technicians’ training and expertise at the highest standards ensures work providers and customers will continue to receive the best possible repairs and experience.”

I-CAR said its multiple training partners and delivery options gave Shipstone flexibility to train technicians while minimising time away from the shop.

“The staff found in-house training modules from Glasurit excellent from a timing point of view and benefited from I-CAR’s training alliance relationships with Audi, Porsche and Car-O-Liner,” I-CAR said. “The auto repair industry is changing rapidly, and technology is advancing at an incredible pace. Continuous training is critical to keep up to speed with evolving vehicle construction and repair methods.”

Combined with existing OEM training, AMA Group said it plans to extend Gold Class training to other repair shops in its network, enabling staff to achieve Platinum status and putting the company in a “great position” to continue serving customers to the “highest standards”.
