AMA Group Donates First Defibrillator To Bayswater Junior Football Club

In partnership with Defib For Life, AMA Group has delivered the first of eight defibrillators it will donate to sports clubs in communities where Group employees live and work. The defibrillator was presented to the Bayswater Junior Football Club in Victoria.

“We are pleased to be able to provide a life-saving resource that can be beneficial in a time of need for the whole community,” AMA Group said. “We’d also like to thank AMA Group Head of Health, Safety and Environment Dean Lang, Bayswater JFC President Beccy Dawber, Defib For Life founder Andrew White, and Bayswater Auskick Coordinator, Darran Collins.”

In May 2022, the Group announced that in addition to installing defibrillators from Defib for Life at every AMA site, it would donate defibrillators to community sporting clubs in Australia and one in New Zealand following nominations from AMA Group staff. Bayswater Junior Football Club was nominated by Nicky Maxwell from Capital S.M.A.R.T Repairs.

“Many thanks to AMA Group, Defib for Life and our Club Treasurer, Nicky Maxwell, for generously supplying a new defibrillator for our new facility,” said Bayswater Junior Football Club. “We will now gratefully have a defibrillator for community use in case of emergency in both of our buildings.”
