Australian Collision Industry Alliance Established To Sustain Collision Repair

Following several months of planning, the Australian Collision Industry Alliance (ACIA) is operational, with the not-for-profit entity focused on co-ordinating stakeholders in funding and driving programmes to attract new talent to the industry.

“The Australian Collision Industry Alliance has been established to promote rewarding career opportunities and to ensure the sustainability of an important industry,” said Rob Bartlett, ACIA Director. “If the industry doesn’t act now in increasing its attractiveness and [making] career pathways easier to navigate, then it will continue to battle labour shortages.”

The ACIA participated in its first event in early May, with several founding members hosting an interactive stand at the Trades Fit Exhibition for young women in Melbourne.

The alliance is looking to broaden support by inviting businesses to sign up as members and industry partners.

“All contributions are tax deductable and go to support the ACIA’s key initiatives of attracting and retaining people to expand the workforce,” said the alliance.
